I'm planning on getting an obt sling in a week or so, and I was wondering what creative things I could do with its enclosure when it is an adult that would still be comfortable for the t. I know it will be some time before he or she gets big enough, but I'm interested to see some of your ideas.

I personally use kritter keepers for my dry species, super cheap and perfect for a no humidity required t, which P. murinus is.

A few inches of substrate and some anchor points for webbing and of course a water dish and you’re good to go.

Don’t set up arboreal. But make sure it has some height. They are webbing machines

Sorry if my post was confusing, I know the husbandry requirements of the species. I was just looking for creative ideas on what to put in the enclosure that would complement their excessive webbing.

I am far from being creative when it comes to setting up enclosures for tarantulas, for I love to keep things simple, and minimal, but not lack of.

Here is mine:

Especially with an obt, IMO I feel it’s more ideal to have a more simple set up just for the sole purpose of knowing where it is at all times and not to get surprised during any feedings/maintenance

how often is your specimen out? how big is its burrow? is it big enough to molt in its burrow? interesting behavior, love it
This was what it looked like initially.

I rehoused it into this enclosure on 12/06/2020. It resided under the initial cork bark ever since, and turned it into the burrow.

It was out and about pretty often. You can tell that by how it webbed around it’s burrow. How big is it’s burrow I do not know exactly, but it excavated quite the amount of dirts, then made itself pretty comfy in there.

It is preparing to molt, if not it’s already molted. It sealed the burrow, and was, and still is staying in the burrow for about a month and a half now.

Interesting enclosure, not quite my taste tho I'm sure the t is more than happy. Thank you for sharing
The owners taste isn’t important. What works for the T is what matters.

Too many owners make mistakes based on what they like or dislike, when they themselves aren’t going to be living inside the box hahaha

I am aware, which is why I had put "which is also comfortable for the t" in the post. This will probably be my last tarantula, so I'd like to make the 3 enclosures that I have appealing to look at while also making the t happy. You can have a visually appealing enclosure and a happy t at the same time.

I was thinking of that instead so I dont get tagged, and itll make setup cheaper.
