I just got the deal of the lifetime. One of the people near me was downsizing so I got a great deal for 200$

-Sling A. mariannae
-Susp. Female hapopelma schmidti, I'm not sure much about this one since the information on it is a bit spotty but it seems like you keep it like any other hapopelma (wet with lots of substrate to dig). This one also seems like a gold form. I've only seen its legs but it was bright orangish gold. Gorgeous thing (only pic I could get for now of the little legs).

- lastly 8x P. regalis communal. Not sure if I'm going to separate them now but I definitely will before the males mature.

I am not quite sure how much would all of them add up to, but you sure got so many additions at once for sure :) congratulation!

Nice haul! Don't know about the US, but A.merianae is quite expensive here in the Netherlands.
I believe Haplopelma schmidti was revised to Cyriopagopus schmidti iirc...

I was thinking that, it kept linking me to information on both so I assumed there was some name changes.

The revision is pretty recent, late 2016 or early 2017 iirc, which is why Googling results in both ;)

The 8 pokies makes that worth it. Are you going to keep them as a communal?

Naw I separated them. I have no experience with communals so I felt safer this way. Plus I realised, I don't think communals are for me. I like to have extensive data on all my T's and it makes it hard when 8 of them are in there together.

That's exactly what I'd do. I've seen too many posts online, where people are complaining that the tarantulas in their communals are eating one another.

Nice score, not the deal of a lifetime however.
Definitely not like ground breaking but without paying anything for shipping and getting a bunch of nice T's it's pretty great. The C. schmidti is absolutely gorgeous. The picture doesnt even do her justice she's just so bright. 20180914_174316.jpg

I think the previous owner had no issue with it but he has been keeping for years while I'm still relatively new in the grand scheme of things. I think it's just safer for all of them this way.

I find it ever so amusing that, “Not to brag...”, is the preface for...

Congrats, Ma’am, and enjoy the opportunity to do what you’re not doing.

From what I've read on these boards communals usually end with 1 fat T (except balfori, of course).

What, you don't have another room that can be converted to a spider room? Like a bedroom, bathroom or kitchen?:troll:

Well maybe if i would get off my but and finish remodeling the other rooms in my house i could do some rearanging. LOL. i have two rooms in my house that aren't being used because i have started the demolish part of the remodel but then did things like buying tarantulas and being lazy instead of finishing the projects... :bag:

Oh dear, does it defeat the purpose if I admit I have spiders in each of those spaces?
We have too many cats, dogs, and children in the house to keep them in any of the common areas.
