I don't even know where to begin...

It was my A. metallica sp. green sling, Liam, I was always worried about... never a good eater, always hangin' out on the substrate instead of being arboreal.

But when I went to check on everyone today and try to photograph the smallest slings...

My A. minatrix sling, Mimi...

I can't even say it...

Is showing signs of DKS :( :( :(

She can't walk.. and when she tries to move, it's in jerky motions and she's using her fangs to try to steady herself.

What do I do? This is NOTHING like what my P. regalis sling was doing..

You could try putting it in a deli cup and putting a drop of water near it's mouth, there is a chance that it's dehydrated since the symptoms of dehydration and DKS are sometimes similar.

There is hope, Jairi. If it's not acting like Tar did, then it's likely that it's not DKS. Get it in an ICU and spike the temps a bit. Your baby is going to need alot of extra humidity in addition to drinking water. That should bring it's hydraulic pressure back up.

Thank you :) Workin on that right now.. the temps in here are high (77F) so I'll bring her out here in her little ICU. I tried just a drop of water infront of her, and she wasn't interested..

ETA: Okay, so I have her in a deli cup on a moist paper towel with water on the side of the container as well.. and it's in a warm spot (warm enough to make it foggy in the container). She is messing with her mouth a lot.. I looked at her mouth, and I don't see anything blocking it (definitely no nematodes or anything).

Thanks yall :( It's been a rough day..

Rob, I moved her to the other side of the room to start with.. then to another room in the house, and now she's back on the other side of the same room as well my other Ts. I'm fixin' to move her back out of the room soon though.. as soon as I can accept that she's gone :(

I can't get past the complete irony that she died today.. it's a long, weird story.. but it's a weird coincidence, that just really sucks all the way around :(

I hope TalonAWD chimes in. His rosea sling had signs as well but Talon gave it the solitary treatment. Kept in ICU in the dark with no light and only fed legless prey items on their back while keeping the temps high to encourage a molt. Apparently, after the molt there was a full recovery. This process is designed to induce the least amount of stress on the T. Stress is thought to be a cause of dks.

I just saw this thread... First sorry that you are going through this. I went through it so far twice but the second time I had good results
Yeah my G. rosea had the syptoms and I thought it was a gonner. In another forum they stated that it could be caused by some type of stress. (ie. the move from shipping) In my case I unpacked the sling with the symptoms and the person that sold it to me said it was normal when it was packed.
Anyway here is my thread. I have three videos there and it shows the progress and what I did to resolve the situation. Maybe compare the movements of my G. rosea with your T.

Thanks yall :(

Talon, I did watch your video and the movements were similar.

I've had her for almost two months now, so she wasn't just shipped in.. but I'm sure that doesn't mean too much in the bigger picture.

I've still got her in the ICU.. but with a death curl.. I dunno :(

Did you see the most recent update and how I resolved it? Don't give up hope. Keep it really warm. I had it in temps from 80-90F
