Extra ear flaps are actually a pretty common mutation in kitties. If you look at a cats ear, you will see that it already has one extra flap. I've seen pics of cats with 8 "ears".
This is the coolest looking extra ear kitty I've ever seen though!

yep, there is a "clinic" cat at my gf's vet clinic that has 6 toes on the front feet.

I know the owner of a four eared cat. He works with my mom. Never met the animal though. If the location on them is northern VA or around there than I know the guy. Couldn't upload the site to my dial up though.
