But if you all don't hear from me for a couple of days, it means I've probably been eaten. I got an S. Calceatum yesterday.


She's about 4 inches, and oddly enough, I got her into her new enclosure without so much as a threat display. She didn't move fast at all either. I've seen videos of them so I'm not gonna let me guard down and assume she's slow or anything...

I'm guessing her attitude will probably change once she gets used to her new little home.

Oh yeah, and I named her "Fluffy."

Do you think she's really 4"? I don't know, I've never been good at judging these things but she looked smaller to me. Regardless, you may have to wait until she's full grown (or close to) before you see the sweet disposition come fully out. It will, lol.

Yeah when she isn't all bunched up like she was in the deli cup she's definitely right around 4. I have a nice handy little tape measure that I got right up next to her in her new enclosure.

She's still acting pretty mellow... thought once she established her territory she'd start flipping out on me but nothing yet... maybe I got a dud. Or maybe she just feels sorry for what she's going to to me in the future.

I was thinking also maybe she's in pre-molt... she ignored the roach I put in there and has been sitting around on the ground, not up high. I'll give it some more time.
