some creatures i found in a nearby forest reserve and at fraser's hill, all were taken in Malaysia

pretty beetle

a very flat forest roach

one of my most favorite bugs!!! they are just sooo cute.. *thanx for pointing it out scythemantis*

could see liquid flowing from it when i tried to pick it up.. so i just made it curl up

this 1's the biggest ive ever came across..there are alot more where it came from



white: that's a huge spider, i've never seen anything like that in my life!! where was that pic taken?

The third photo is a cicada, not a beetle. They don't have any hard wing covers. Closely related to leafhoppers/treehoppers, and found all over the world. Best known for their extremely loud mating calls.

Great pics.

PS. I can't ID that beetle. When I look at tarsi and anntenae it looks like Chrysomelidae. I'm not sure.

any idea what those red millipedes are? im finding lots, getting curious. are they usually around 3" tops?
