chrysoscelis or versicolor there's virtually no way to distinguish them except their calls and range somewhat but their ranges mostly overlap so that doesn't really help.
This brings back soo many good memories. When I was a kid, my brother, my dad, and I would turn the light on in our kitchen at night to sit down and eat ice cream. A whole bunch of moths would be attracted to the big window by the table and they in turn would attract gray treefrogs. We had our own live National Geographic special every night and it just fascinated me to watch how some would sit and wait ambush style and some would slowly stalk closer towards groups of the insects. I fondly remember those times.
