Wow! What a nice species. I managed for a few more pics earlier as I was changing the housing.

Has anyone else noticed the comical appearance to this species eyes?

Oh post pics of yours!

A threat picture from this species. As I was transfering tanks, it walked onto the window and up the window frame, which didn't bother me. However, when it came to the time of removing it from the frame it got a little pissy=D

Well, I guess I have to now! I'm gonna have to start taking t's off of my list so I can fit the different Nhandus on it.

Jon, I agree, I have a N. vulpinus coming next week, but will have to look for more Nhandu species.

It's been posted before, but here it is again

I did have 3 of these guys, a sub-adult female and 2 small slings but I just discovered that one of the wee ones croaked on me down in its tiny burrow  Oh well, have to get another I guess. This is one of the species I really want to establish a breeding stock of.

This is my favorite shot of my girl:

Whoa nice pics people!

Code Monkey, don't you have some other Nhandu species too? I think I remember you posting them, or was it you asking for information on them?

oops I just realised I called it "coloratovillus" rather than "coloratovillosum" :8o

...deliberate mistake

Ahhh I'd say you made the best choice. I much prefer the Genic over the Coloratovillosum to be honest. Everything about it, including the high aggression, (I'm not interested in handling the spider so I like it when it runs nasty) it's not as 'secretive' and the colouration I prefer. The Nhandu is a nice spider though, but for the Brazillian Black-and-Whites I'd say the Genic gets the crown:D

Here's a picture of her (Called Bruce) Being a nasty mofo (sorry to change thread topic)

If "Did you bring me anything to eat?" qualifies as scholarly, sure :D

@defiler: I've also got N. carapoensis, but it's still just a mostly bald sling. I'm going to get those 2" N. vulpinus Swift has this week.

Also, I've got both geniculata and coloratovillosus and they are both great. The Nhandu is maybe a wee bit more likely to run for its hide but both have great feeding responses and the Nhandu is by far the more genuinely "aggressive" of the two.
