C. cyaneopubescens, newly molted. It is unsexed and around the three inch mark, I haven't had a chance to measure it.

It was time to give a few of my spiders some new dirt, so I was able to unearth a couple of spiders that I rarely see.

P. lugardi

Inside the transfer bottle.

And in her new cage, having a shy moment.

Lumpy the H. lividum. She was very upset about being unearthed, and she wasn't shy about telling me so.
When I first dumped her out

Running around the 'holding cage'

Trying to calm her down by stopping her from moving with the stick. It actually worked for a little while. I just wanted her to get in the darned container!

And into the new dirt, complete with pre-started burrow, which she ran to right away.

A. seemani female got new dirt too.

That bump on the lividum looks nasty. How long has it had that lump? My wild caught female Cobalt had one about the size of a pea but is almost gone after a few molts. I think with one more molt it will be gome. Good luck with her.

She's had it since I got her last May, but it didn't look as bad then. Here is a before shot.

She molted in October, losing a leg in the process, and finished up looking like this. I was sure that she wouldn't survive, I mean, it looked all gross and gooey at first! But she is actually doing just fine. She eats well, she stays in her burrow. I just rehoused her and she hasn't excavated the new burrow yet, but I'm sure she will. I don't know if she'll make it through another molt, but she may as she seems quite hardy. She had a bent toe before she molted, so I assume that is why she lost the leg, just couldn't pull it out of the old skin. It's gonna take some time to grow back!

Beautiful T's and great shots. Do GBBs have mirror patches or does it just look like that because of the transition from sling to adult colours?

I'm rooting for Lumpy. Let's hope she makes it through the next moult and many more, she seems like a trooper! :D
