Yes actually they are easy to care for. I have mine in a 10 gallon aquarium due to her long sensory thing and just keep it a little on the humid side and I placed in on a shelf where she doesn't get much light and she eats like a pig. Amazing to watch them eat.

Questions....

I recently got one of these from the local pet store. They had two of them in a teeny tiny enclosure with nothing to climb on and about 3 full grown crix running around in there with them, which was clearly freaking them out!! I bought one for $10 and put it in an 18 tall fish tank with a lot of branches to climb on and a plastic deli cup lid for a water dish to keep humidity up.

When I first got it home I had to keep it in a small K-keeper while cleaning out the tank I'd chosen to use from the garage. Upon getting it home I put about 5 very small (but nothing like pinhead) crix in the keeper and when the new home was ready a couple hours later (got side tracked) they were gone, though there is a slight chance they might have escaped through the vents (very doubtful though). It seems to be doing ok, but I've only seen it eat once... It seems VERY afraid of any crix bigger than a centimeter. It's body length is about 3 centimeters, actual "leg" span is about 3.5 to 4 inches if measured by the legs and not the "whips".

So, here are my questions:

1: How big do these really get?

2: When ppl report measuring them by legspan are they generally reffering to the whiplike structures, or the actual legs used for mobility?

3: How should I judge what size prey to feed it (other than the obvious "as big as it will take" since it seems not to want to eat while the lights are on)?

4: Are they normally so quick to flee from food? Or is it possibly just well fed already on the adult crix the store was giving them? (I don't trust the standard "Oh sure it's been eating those!" routine!)

4: How often should they molt at this current size?

Any other info you can post for a newb to keeping these awesome little things would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks
