Newly delivered sling barely moving

So, I have a couple juvies and I thought I would try my hand at a sling after scouring this website for days. I just made this account because I'm a bit worried for my new little one. I purchased a 1/4" A. Chalcodes, one day shipping, live arrival guarantee. It came well packaged in a dram bottle with moist toilet paper and a warm heat pack. After unrolling the paper, I found that the little sling was scrunched up (with "knees" up over its eyes, not a death curl per se) and would not right itself when flipped over. I thought it was dead, but it slowly moved the front two legs up and down, so it is now in its enclosure (a tiny deli cup). That was four hours ago, and when I checked now, it seemed to move the front four legs, but it's not really holding itself off the ground. I'm not sure how to post pictures as I'm on my phone, but it's currently holding its front four legs in the air. I was hoping to get a general idea of whether or not it may live, so I can tell the seller. I also just have to tell someone, I'm worried.

Sounds like it is just stressed from the trip and needs time to settle in. It may take days or weeks for it to come around.

I don't feel like it's about to molt. It's abdomen isn't dark or anything. I had to actually move it into it's enclosure, it didn't walk on it's own.

I hope you contacted the seller...delaying to do so will not help any LAG, and may void it.

I have contacted him, but I don't know whether to give up and call it DOA or see if it is alive...
Don't keep bothering it, leave it alone overnight and check on it tomorrow. If it is just stressed you will be making things worse if you check on it constantly.

Good...stay in contact with the seller...he will decide when LAG applies. Usually people like to wait, because recovery does happen, even in seemingly bad situations. Its DOA when its dead, no sooner.

This is definitely the thing to do. Sure the T might just be stressed, but from this post alone we can't really know and it does sound like it could be injured as that's not normal behavior.

I believe it's dead. I've contacted the seller again and let him know.
We all have this happen sooner or later. The more important piece will be what the seller does to resolve the issue. Keep us updated here.

Looks a bit like it started to molt. But if that was the case, it should have been out of the old exo by now...

Well, it had all its legs in the air while laying down on its 'stomach' (don't know what else to call that) and then it sort of just.. fell to the side. Can they molt without having a dark abdomen..? That's what I thought I had to look for. But it still hasn't moved since then so I have a good feeling it's gone.

I have had slings molt without being really dark, but after this amount of time, it should have finished molting.

The seller is Ken the bug guy, and we've been messaging back and forth and he's offered to replace the sling :embarrassed:
Just an FYI ...I believe He may be a She in your reference to, "he's offered to replace the sling". Last time I spoke with Ken, a year ago, he sold his business and the name with it. From my understanding, although the name may be Ken The Bug Guy, his former employee who Is female now owns the name and shop.

I hope she rectified any problems with the shipment and all is good......

If any information above is not accurate I would love to hear how Ken is doing since he no longer is in the tarantula sales business and if any circumstances have changed from the above I referenced.
