I just got my first pink toe tarantula. After reading a few threads in here I realize all the online research I did before hand was basically garbage. So I’m not sure how old my T is. He is small. I do have him in a 10 gallon....shouldn’t have done that I now know, but I don’t want to rehouse him yet again and cause more stress in one day. I am attaching a pic of his enclosure. See what you guys think. I obviously need a log of some sort for better climbing. It’s about 10:30 pm here and he is very very active. Exploring everywhere in his cage. Is this good?
Side note: yes there is a water dish in the back right hand corner.

It's designed well for some terrestrials.

Your tank is FAR too large for that T- it won't find prey effectively at all and will probably die. You'd have to fill that tank to the gills w/insects.

You really need an arboreal setup.

Age is not important, but size is.

Don't worry about rehousing again, the SOONER you do it the better for your T.

Exploring-- Every convict is looking for a way out- wouldn't you?

I bet he's just small enough to fit into the largest AMAC box like I did with my A. huriana. He was about 3-3.5" DLS

Read my Avic link.

Thank you. I will redone now. I was just scared of stress.
Stress is overly used in my opinion, a throw back from days when exotics were imported and died in transport, which still happens. However it's nice not to stress your animal out of course. But here's the deal, it gets settled, maybe webs a bit, and BOOM you transfer to new home and the cycle starts ALL OVER again ;) No good.
