I just put down a deposit on this little boy Woma. We're calling him Irwin. I thought I would share. He's about 2 weeks old, we're waiting until he's feeding on f/t until we have him shipped to us. I've kept dozens of species of snake through the years, but this will be the first time I've kept a woma. I'm so excited. :)

Pretty snake, I mean, for a snake ;-)

@AzJohn keeps womas as well. They seem to be a highly thought of snake

I've owned one for several years still. Hands down this is the most alert snake I've ever owned, "always" looking around, very visually oriented. They have a fascinating SINGLE heal pit !!!

I know from an Australian breeder of several species of this genus that they are voracious eaters, and he said this is a species that can get obese if you feed it. I've kept mine a little on the lean side, ie not regular feedings like I do for my others.

Very docile, they can certainly become nippy like many snakes can when fed in the same container regularly and not handled regularly.

Wait till you see the caudal luring.

You seen them a lot more than you used to, Decades ago you almost never saw them, they were pricey.

I've been able to work with blackheads and womas in other peoples collections and they always seemed really fun. They've been on my list for years and just never got around to getting one.

I was breeding womas and blackheads a few years ago, it's always nice to see our reptiles in overseas collections.
Congratulations on your purchase, it's a very nice species to keep
