Hi, I'm new here, I have 4 G rosea's, I believe they are all female, and one has a bluish tint. I've only had them a month, so I'm still trying to set up their habitats, so they are comfortable.

I've seen so many postings about substrate, vermiculite, and other beddings, that I just don't know what is the best thing to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will post pictures of my newly found pets.

Welcome to AB and the Addiction!!!!

Before you get any further, there is a sticky located HERE that you should read. Think of it as an "Owner's Manual" of sorts. Honestly, it should be a mandate for new G. rosea owners.

The way I keep both of my Grammostolas is on dry coco-fiber. Product names include Plantation Soil, EcoEarth, Bed-a-Beast, Reptibed, etc.

welcome to the boards!

i keep my very protective mommy Rosie on bone dry eco earth and just over flow her water dish once a week. if the substrate is even a tiny bit wet she scrunches up on top of her hide and refuses to come down till the strat is dry.
