So yeah, the show in SC was amazing...tons of stuff that I WISH i had the money or means to take home with me..lots of gorgeous hot herps ~drool~

Anyway I had gone down there with my heart set on an A.genic, however as I was browsing around I saw a table with a couple tubs of badly labeled Ts including a couple which I was *pretty* sure were A. seemani (my second choice) So, long story short, I grabbed Joe from carolina specialty pets (great guy! freakin walking tarantula encyclopedia) to confirm the species for me and ended up getting one for six bucks. Now I'm kindof going "wonder what's wrong with it" but I think the people i got it from really just were trying to get rid of them ASAP. I was about to get another, but they had them in solid white screw top jars (couldn't begin to guess what kind of T was inside) and one of the ladies fussed at me for opening it-- someone nearby went "which tarantulas are poisonous?" and as I was starting to explain the woman behind the counter goes "Those he's opening are, and I wish he wouldnt" ...so i put it down and walked off

Only thing that really broke my heart not to buy were some gorgeous and HUGE king baboons that had a legspan about like a grapefruit.

Anyway, here's a fwe pics of my seemani. It's eaten four large crix since i got it (all last night) and so far has been active and webbed a bit, and appears in good health altogether. One of the shots has the edge of a bottlecap in it so you can get an idea of the size
