New T. and new here.....

Hello all. I have been reading the posts here in addition to several other sources once I decided I was going to get a T. I have to say it was very helpful to get not only info from the books, but also from first-hand experiences. Well, my first two arrived today and I just put them into their respective enclosures. They are a B. smithi and an A. moderatum. Both are females and are gorgeous lookers! They are a year and two years old, respectively, based on what the breeder told me. I just placed the containers they came in (solo cups) in their cages so they can roam when they are comfortable. Any advice from those who have either would be great. Looking forward to regular conversations on here with you all.

Welcome to the Tarantaulaocholics group . The B.Smithi is a good choice and so is the other one. Just becareful the B.Smithi will kick hairs if she is disturbed sometimes. We are getting a B.Smithi in 2 weeks! If you want another beginner T's get a Pink Zebra Beauty and a Chaco Golden Knee they are awesome starter T's as well that I have read

Welcome aboard! It sounds like you have picked to great Ts for your first Ts and being females you will likely be keeping them 20-25 years to come. I'm sure you have gotten that Tarantulas are more addictive than heroin, but you can moderate your chipping with greater success At least some of can... I'm a prime example when you give into binges.
