I bought a new assistant to my sugar glider diet today. It was kinda forced on me by a pet store owner. Only $4. It's called Zupreem marmoset diet. It has...8.5%crude protein 2.5%crude fat 1.5%fat 61%moisture and other less than .1% things like ash ext?

It has alfalfa, egg, calcium, and wheat and others as it's main ingedients I guess. Tell me what you think.

I put in a pear, which tico is used to, with the new stuff hopefully he eats it

Not to be down on the Zupreem but there is a problem with using it in the diet. The BML diet ( which I assume you are using ) is designed to be balanced as is and when you go mixing other ingredients in there by swapping up the foods it can cause a serious unbalance. The end result can vary from a simple upset stomache on the light end to MBD on the extreme end. The number one cause of Glider ailments is dietary problems and with BML being the most used and proven diet around it just doesn't seem feasible to me to second guess it. I made the mistake of trying to out think the BML diet and simply provide what they needed on my own and it cost me the life of our 1st male and nearly killed Mary as well. I have since learned better and will not stray from the one diet out there that has never been linked to a Glider death or health problem.

Again not trying to shoot ya down just an honest attempt to save you some grief later down the road as well as looking out for the Glider.

well we understand that Phil and we probably will not keep him on that diet but the store owner swore in the diet and we decided to try it once or twice...I myself dont want to swing from our normal diet hence thats what we had him started on....so in good light we will most likely keep him on the original diet..
