Hi! I am very new here, I actually just registered a little while ago. I have had several different spiders: three Oklahoma Brown tarantulas, all male, and numerous Bold jumping spiders and tan jumping spiders. So I think maybe it is time I get a species of spider, maybe another type of jumping spider? Anyways, I wanted your recommendations and the best kinds of jumping spider that I could get, as before I had taken in other peoples neglected tarantulas and caught wild bold jumpers, and I thought for the new year I should actually buy/order a different kind of jumper, instead of catching wild ones.

First of all, welcome to Arachnoboards.

And for the recommendation, I’d like to suggest a wolf spider. I know it’s not a jumping spider, but I find it very interesting keeping / observing one.

Good idea! I will definitely look into Wolf Spiders. I have had my eye on them for a while but didn't know how good they were in captivity. You know how some spiders are in captivity! Looking at you, Oklahoma Browns! I love Oklahoma Brown tarantulas, but sheesh! Sometimes they just won't settle down in their spoiled bioactive tanks lol

I have two different Steatoda sp. They don’t move a whole bunch but they are super fun to watch take down Prey, they’re also in my opinion beautiful. And they’re easy to take care of and also harmless!

this is my Steatoda Borealis as a sub adult female! She is now fully matured and has given me 2 egg sacs after pairing
