So I have an Asian forest floor scorpion. Her name is Indiana, she’s 1 years old and I love her to deat. We recently moved from Ontario to Winnipeg and she was hiding in her house a lot, but still would periodically come out. I changed her terrarium mid October and she was so happy (as happy as a scorpion can be?) but few the past few weeks, she’s burrowed her way in under a ceramic rock I have in there and I don’t think she’s come out. Usually if I lift up the rock, I see a claw, now I don’t see anything. Is she ok? Should I look for her? Is this normal? I have her 3 crickets and I think she ate 2.

Totally normal. I would say they are as happy as can be in a tunnel. If she stays deep inside, she might be in premolt. If not, she will come closer to the entrance when she’s hungry. Usually only the pedipalps will poke out.

I prefer less heavy objects for burrowing under. It's likely fine but that extra layer of caution never hurt.

Totally normal. It may be preparing to moult, or not. Sometimes you just don’t see them for a long time, particularly if it’s a little cooler or drier than they prefer.

OP, you might also need a deeper more moist substrate. What temp is she usually kept at?

completely normal, scorpions are photophobic. Generally speaking they will try to avoid light. If you place your scorp's enclosure in a dimly lit area of your home you might notice more activity, it could also be in premolt especially if it stops accepting food or starts to look swollen. My asian forest will accept food during daylight but only comes out and about at night hope that helps had to share the pic 😆

Fyi your scorpion is illegal in Winnipeg, it might be best to just say you live in manitoba :^)
