I just got 2 regal jumping spiders yesterday! (they are still pretty small) I am so excited, but worried. Neither have made a hammock yet, and they also haven't been interested in eating. When they came yesterday, they were all wrapped up in webs, so I thought they would make a hammock when I put them in their new homes. The female is coming out and exploring, but then she hides under a plant leaf a lot of the time. The male is active but sleeps behind a little house we made him. Should I be worried? I just want to make sure they are happy and healthy. I am offering them the same size food the breeders were feeding them. Thanks in advance for any help!

pictures are really best for any sort of diagnosis, but if they dont eat they probably are going to molt or are just settling in after a move. if you took them out of their hammocks they should probably be put back. they may or may not build a new one in time to molt. molting outside of a hammock is not an experience i wish on any new keeper. put them back until they seem settled and if they dont come out of their web during the day, you know they are indeed molting soon. wait til they are done and start coming out on their own to put them back. check out this care doc. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dx0tlu1Fbtni_u_r88KbUWmN9Os7_AEazqTmF766buo/edit
