An arboreal tarantula?Hi! I am going to upgrade my baby crested geckos soon and would like something to put in their old terrarium. I believe it is an 8x8x12 tall. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m open to just about anything.
Any specific species? I don't know much about tarantulas. An arboreal tarantula?
Caribena versicolor would be my recommendation. Absolutely stunning. This is my adult female.Any specific species? I don't know much about tarantulas.

Perfect! Good to know. Thank you so much for the information. There's 99.9% never a reason to handle a tarantula.
Accidents frequently happen resulting in the T either being injured, killed or lost.
Catch cups are easy to transfer T's into new/different enclosures.
There are loads of threads in the tarantula section. Have a search and you'll have information coming out of your ears.Perfect! Good to know. Thank you so much for the information.

You're jumping in at the deep end with a Poecilotheria (pokey). They're old world tarantulas and as such have potent venom.Poecilotheria metallica is kind of what I am looking at. What do you think of that?

I'm not saying it's not possible. I got a pokey as my 2nd tarantula.
