I went out collecting on Tuesday in the Mojave desert and came back with a 1 3/4" Aphonopelma iodius. It's burrow was webbed over around 2:30pm. The burrow went down between 2 rocks which I removed. As soon as the rocks were removed, it came out of its burrow and I picked it up in my hands. It is a very docile T.
