I bought a pair of marbled borneo bloods Python breintensteini at the last reptile show. I've always wanted to keep these. They have beautiful brown and beige tones. Here's a pic of the female. The flash washed out a lot of the beige striping at the lower end of her body.

Mike,

Gorgeous snake you have there! Have fun with them. I have always kept half an eye on both breitensteini and brongersmai. I may add some to my collection down the road. Are the breitensteini a bit snappier than the brongersmai or are they about the same?

Thanks Gilbert,
From what my friend tells me (he has a large breeding group of both and these snakes were hatched by him) they both are snippy when they are young but will calm down as they become older. Of course there are always exceptions. The next snakes on my list are Elaphe Porphyracea coxi and Python anchietae. If I can get these by next year I will be a very happy man :D . BTW I'm going to start cycling my chondros this October. Wish me luck.

Either E. p. coxi or P. anchietae will be fantastic additions. I must say the E. p. coxi are even more spectacular in person. Good luck with those chondros! You might be able to twist my arm into picking up one of your babies. :)

Later,
Gilbert

Beautiful! I'd love to have a pair of breitensteini down the road, but for now 8 snakes is enough for me.

Thank You. I am lucky my wife tolerates my obsession:D
My gf tolerant too, but I think around 100-150 tarantulas, 20 snakes, several geckos, a few other critters, 2 dogs and I is more than enough. :D
