We're getting a new kitty! Meet Scarlett!!!! SPCA adoption!

She's adorable! Congrats. I plan to get a kitten in the next year sometime. Is she declawed? Will she be an indoor or outdoor cat? Do you have other cats? How is she/they with your T's? At one time I had one cat and only one T and she was an indoor cat and not phased by him at all. She was also declawed. I am just concerned about getting a kitten who's gonna be all into everything and knocking things over...especially after reading some horror stories on here. Just wondering....Congrats

This is cat # 4...the first one died of cancer, the second was 18, and died of old age, and Kes is the cat we have now, and shes 20 months old, and weve had her for a year. Scarlett was spayed today, and is coming home tomarrow. She will not be declawed, and she will be fine with the T's.. Where they are located, its impossible for the cat to get to them. Also, the T's arent active much so the cats payed little notice to them. Infact, they hardly ever looked at them. Crickets on the other hand. She is going to be indoor only. Better fat than flat I always say...and then theres the damned coyotes...anyway. Thanks, and good luck getting a kitten. (you could always try adopting a older kitten, theyre less trouble)

Yes yes, too true....there are plenty of cats that need good homes, that's for sure. The last cat I had was a kitten when I got her and she was 16 when I had to have her put to sleep. It was great to have her with me all those years. Cats are awesome!
I can't wait to get a house full of pets. Strictly have T's right now. Also definitely want a Pug.
Anyway enjoy Miss Scarlet. She is a beautiful addition to your family!

Congrats on the new kitty. I also wanna say it's great you get them "used" LOL! I am a big fan of the used pets at the SPCA It's where I got my Jack Russell I currently have and the Choc lab I got a few yrs ago that died of old age. I know a woman up there and when they get in an animal thats in need of medical stuff, older ,abused or neglected pet they will have trouble placing, she calls me Many breeders get shut down around my county as they are just mills and the animals are in pretty bad shape. My Jack was a pup mill dog that was not to breed standard so he couldn't be sold. Justa fluke in the litter. He was taken and given to the humane soc a county over last year. A tornado tore through here and destroyed the humane society killing many of the pets. Jack was little and timid, so he was kept in a small crate so he wouldn't be picked on by the other dogs and he would feel more secure. Being in a crate saved his life as he was the survivor. The other society decided to give him to the city pound to give the lil guy another chance. They named him "Tornado Jack" and when I saw him I had to have him!! They told us about the circumstances and gave us documentation on iit to keep in his "scrapbook" LOL!

Ya never know what you're gonna get from the pound, but they are 9 times out of 10 the BEST animal!

Thanks Sansousie!! Your dog sounds wonderful. Tornado Jack, waht a great name!! Scarlet is home now, shes in her own room, trying to settle in. Shes so small, shes just been spayed, but you wouldnt know it, shes walkin around purring, rubbing up to me, acting like she didnt just get a hysterectomy!! I think if that happened to me, I wouldnt move for weeks! Shes so adorable. More pics t come!!

Sorry for my late reply, Ive been so busy working and drawing, I havent been around here much lately! Anyway,...Kes and Scarlett have met a few times, but they keep their distance so far. I think they will get along eventually.
