Even though I'm a dedicated Boa fan I couldn't pass up on this little guy . I've seen stripped kings and banded kings but not one that's both . He is stripped at his head and tail and the pattern becomes banded in the middle . I especially like the exclamation point like shape near his head .

Cool man! You're next snake should be a Mountain kingsnake. Any locality is awesome!Good pickup.

That's funny because I actually debated several snakes before choosing this one and a Mountain was one of the choices .

This is a better choice. CA Mountain Kings can sometimes be fussy eaters, especially the young ones. It's hard to go wrong with a Cal King.
I was there for awhile on Saturday, but my back is giving me an absolute fit so I headed home fairly early. Normally I shut the place down on Saturday, lol. I just picked up three snakes, all Water Snakes, two juvie Northern males and a nice gravid FL Green female, and picked up a whole bunch of frozen rodents which took most of my remaining paycheck, but hey, I gotta feed my babies. I wasn't that impressed with the selection, actually, but maybe my lack of impression was due in no small part to a lack of cash. I can't bother really looking at much when I know I'm in no position to buy, and this show caught me right after a truck payment came due. At least I know there's the Myrtle Beach and Charleston shows coming up in the not-so-distant future. I'll probably have a whole pile of little Water Snakes by then to sell.
