Hello again. This my newest little guy. Caught on the wooden fence separating my yard from my neighbor's. My insect app is calling it a ribbon jumping spider. Is anyone familiar with these little guys? Also, not sure of age or whether male or female. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks again.

I'm not sure about the species, but I think it's is a female.
My insect app says it's a ribbon jumping spider (Metacyrba taeniola) and it seems to match. It's hard to get a good pic lol. This is the first time I've seen this species in my yard.

Metacyrba taeniola taeniola (the extra “taeniola” is the subspecies name)

Looks like an adult male. Did it look like this?: AA630B8C-E51E-4AE3-8BBF-75A874585CC7.jpeg 3EF5FAFA-7D2D-47CE-B6BF-0474A8C70793.jpeg A441D0BC-52C8-4878-ACE4-95812C9F21F7.jpeg

Any ideas on their life span? I've looked at several websites and none told me anything useful about them.
There isn’t a solid answer. My sister’s Eris militaris adult male has been an adult for six months with no signs of aging. But most live less I think

I guess if I choose to keep him it will be a learning experience. Most jumper males look to live about a year, although, my peppered female seems to have only lived 6 months before I lost her. I would like to find a female ribbon jumper.
