New isopods housing worries

So im at work right now, but before I left, I'd just gotten my Armadillium Vulgare isopods in the mail.

I put them in an about 8×8inch container that I poked holes about maybe the size of a sesame seed into the sides of and a non-clasping lid (but still some kind of hold). Before I left, for safety, I put a small book on top of it.

But now I'm worried about them or the baby ones escaping while I'm gone.

Does anyone have experience with this species and housing them?

I don't keep those ones, but woodlice can't climb smooth plastic. As long as there aren't other things they can climb to get to the holes, they won't get out of them. I like to use taller enclosures than necessary so that's never a worry.

If there are things they can climb (like you left leaves pressed up to the holes) then they might climb out.

Oh no, I gave them spaghnum (I think that's the spelling) moss around the sides for moisture/substrate

Chill out. Many of them only need a lid to keep in humidity. I have been keeping them for a while. They can’t escape but even if they could, they would stay because they need humidity and food. I have been keeping them and never had any escapes from them climbing.
