Well, now that all of my slings have molted I decided it was time to step up from vials. There might be a little extra space for them yet but I'm sure they don't mind.

And for my next home this is a little something I found at KB Toys that I thought would make a cool home for my avic. avic when he gets a bit bigger. This was a matchbox collecters Elvis set. I replaced the drive-inn screen with a photo of the 1950's movie Tarantula and changed the marquee to a poster of that movie. Not bad for $5.00 and 15 minutes of work. I plan on adding a small layer of peat moss on the base and adding some spragham moss behind the screen and marquee. I'll post another photo someday when it's actually in use.

Very nice, what type of T's do you have in the containers in the first pic?

For arboreals, I've heard of people turning those containers upside-down and putting the substrate in the cap. This way the T has more room at the top and you hopefully won't disturb it's web when you feed or whatever. But for terestrials it would work best the way you have them.

The Elvis thing is cool too, good idea on switching the background to tarantula pics.

Awesome matchbox setup. Very creative! The plastic display boxes are what I'm using for my slings as well. They're cheap at the crafts shop and they work fantastic. :D

Cool. What containers do you use to build that? And where you buy them?

That's a great idea for a cage. Makes me want to go to a toy store and see what kind of stuff i can find. Too bad i'm so freakin broke right now. What are the dimensions of that Elvis set up?

The Elvis Matchbox case is 4"tall X 7"long X 3"deep.

The first case I bought at a toy show for $1 is housing my 3/4 Avic. Avic. is 3"x2"x2".

The second case origionally held 120 baseball cards($5.99 at KB Toys) 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" now is housing my usumbara babboon 3/4".

The third case (another toy/nicknack holder that was given to me) is 3 3/4"tall x 2" x 2" is home to my 1/2" H. Maculata.

I just was I had a macro mode on my camera to show them to you guys better. sorry! lol

If you don't wanna buy "stuff" in order to get one of these types of containers, you can find them at crafts stores like Michael's for around $2 each.

Looks like those work pretty good for your arboreals. The nice thing is, you don't disturb the T when doing maintenance.

Thanks for the back-up pics:)

Where I live, you can find them at Tap Plastics for around $2 also.

Nemesis: If the T is a burrower ya put the lid on the top... if it's a glass climber/high webber then you put the lid on the bottom. There is different types of those containers (ones that open on the sides heart&tear shaped and even one that looked like little briefcase) but I dont like the way those are shaped.

Damn I know I did something wrong!!

Ok I know better not to put too much stuff on 1 shelf no more...Ya as you know I loaded a shelf and boom(I caught it but 1 or 2 containers took a tumble) I cant find the slings but I think I might of made a couple of holes too big and they escaped ( I think) well hell what am I to do now I guess, It could be worse they couldve all tumbled......but anyway back to the subject here is a pic of the containers for the time being...they will get fixed up in the near future.....
