Awesome! Is that a converted 10 gallon? They're really pretty and space efficient too!

Nice:)
What type of T's did you get?

I've got two of the same enclosures and they work great for my Avic's. Did you get them at EBV?

Very nice, but how the Ts react when they see each other thru the glass?

thanks

I believe its 10-15 gal (premade), I'm handy but not that handy:D

Ines68, not sure how they'll react, the ones I'll be getting are b'tween 1/2"-1" in size, so they prob, won't trip, when they get older I' will move them to invd, cages.

I moved my B.smithi in, she climbed all around then settled in the back under the fake plants=D

Got an e-mail from midwest, the new T's will porb be here by fri if not monday, didn't relize that on-line purchases can take up to 4 days to clear.

But any way I'll post new pic when I recieve them

Where'd you get it? Looks like a cool set-up. I'm also curious as to how they will react to seeing eachother.

I got it from the East Bay Vivarium (Berkely CA). I believe you can order them, but prob isn't worth it, with the shipping and all.

I'll keep you posted on the reaction of the T's

William.

I'd advise you keep your small T's in deli cups or other small containers and to raise the substrate level in your glass tank so that any tarantula therein doesn't have any climbing room greater than its legspan. I lost a 7" Theraphosa blondi as a result of giving it too much climbing space; smaller T's are at a lesser risk, but it's something to keep in mind. I've only lost one out of many to this, but that's one too many.

i agree with steve (go figure, right?)...

also, you'd be surprised at the ones who start burrowing.

I've got a beautiful adult E.campestratus that never once burrowed.
I switched her substrate, gave her some more, and i woke up this morning and she's created a labrynth akin to bin laden. I think he may be hiding in there too.

anyways, Art rules, and if you haven't already, you should post a review in the dealer review section

;)

I agree. I was shocked to see this person was going to
put slings around the 1/2 inch size into something the size
of 3.5 gallon enclosures!

I believe those enclosures do look wonderful for tarantula setups, but they're much better for something considerably larger...like maybe 2.5 to 3 inches.

I also like to use 40 dram vials for critters in the 1/2 to 1 inch leg span range. Deli cups are good too. :)

P.S. I love the Bin Laden comment. That was FUNNY! =D

RE.

Thanks for the replies, I'll take your advice, I'll be adding more substrate to the section my B. smithi is in. I'm going to move my Avic into another section, and use its old tank to house the new slings in. By the time the new s'lings are big enough to use the new enclosure, my B. smithi, will be big enough for her own enclosure. I have one question:
Do you think if I use the ex-small critter keepers to house the S'lings in, they won't be able to excape? If so, would taping the little slits, then punching small enough holes as for ventilation, work? I could also put enough substrate in so there is less of a drop, if they deside to climb. That way I could be able to view them with out disturbing them as much. As always any advice you have is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

William

I still think that is too large for slings that are one inch in legspan or less. I'm betting you just don't realize just how SMALL a 1/2 inch critter is. I think when you actually see them, you'll realize
they need a smaller container than even the smallest kritter
keeper. I use the smallest critter keeper for my 1.5 - 2 inch
P. irmnia because it had outgrown it's 40 dram vial and was in
need of more space. :)

Hope that helps! :)

thats cool i use these big cheese ball containers from sams club and cosco for my T's i need to move my parahybana out next molt cuz he will be between 6-7 inches and he needs more room but for my togo usambara and soon cabolts its perfect because u can put alot of peat in there or u can put some branches or cork bark in there for the togo and usambra to climb i like ur set up too its good for smaller T's
