She's my Aphonopelma, chalcodes and boy she knows her own mind too. Likes to walk around like she is already queen of the hive and holds that booty high up in the air like she will just flick a hair or two if you don't fancy her. LOL I brought her home today and already she is moving furniture and checking out the guys. I'll be mating her to one of my MMs a friend gave me. Will it be bachelor number 1 :? Or bachelor number 2:worship: Whoever it is I'll bet she'll sure put him through his paces!

Very nice ! I have one of these and she is defiantly one of my faves. Mine has never kicked a hair and is a docile as a T. can get.

In regards to breeding, I heard that they need to go through a coolong down process temperature wise in preparation to breeding. Not sure how true this is, but a very reputable seller told me this.

This girl is hilarious! I have never seen such a docile T become so aggressive on mating. She chases her male then puts up a fight. Afterwards she goes for him with fangs out! Will be posting new thread and lots of pics.

Did you do anything special to get them to breed ? I have a male Chalcode that will hopefully hook out on his upcoming molt. I was hoping to try to breed them. My female molted about 3 months ago.

I brought my female from a reliable and conscious LPS. I brought her home and introduced the male that night. They coupled immediately. Then he started making sperm webs and they have going great ever since. She's already getting fat!

Have not heard about "cooling down." What exactly does that mean? you shouldn't have any trouble mating yours.

If I remember correctly he said that they needed to be kept at cooler temps prior to breeding.

But it sounds to me like you are not having any problems by simply putting them together. I will give that a try as soon as he is ready. It will be my first breeding attempt.
