Before I get started, sorry for the crappy picture. I'm no photographer and my phone is no professional camera! Still could have been better though.

Anyway, I was all excited about getting a CRESTED gecko, but a few weeks ago or so I realized that gargoyles and geckos have near to the exact care. So I went in the reptile store with the mind set of, I'll get a crested, unless they have a gargoyle ;)

And whaddya' know. There was two gargoyles, one of them being a near hatchling, the other a little older. I got the older juvenile, it's a stripe morph, he looked for pour development and said he suspects it's a female, I haven't weighed it yet. I'm gonna let it settle in before I get it out and weigh it. I'm really enjoying it so far, and the little gecko seems to be enjoying her new home as well. If anyone has these, post your pictures! I wanna see ;)

That's a very beautiful gecko! Ya know, I never considered a gargoyle gecko when I look into collecting geckos... This makes me want to consider these as starter to my future gecko collection. :)

I definitely recommend it! The whole Rhacodactylus genus is awesome. When it comes down to it, it's just what looks best to you. Rhacodactylus care is so easy to care for its stupid. I have this gargoyle in a tall sterilite bin (Its a really clear one, I can see it fine.) with moist paper towels as a substrate, and some synthetic pothos vines. Feed them a powdered crested gecko diet, ever so often toss in a few dusted crickets. No heat, no light. Bam! I love my little girl so far. She likes jumping around the vines. :)
