I was feeding the birds recently patrolling my fence for phids as usual, and I came across a golden morph female I had to have. I can't get any good pics right now, but even her pedipalps are yellow! I believe its a young female. She was very fat when I caught her like 10 days ago, and she ate 1 cricket and molted 3 days later.
Here's a pic from today of her eating her first cricket since the molt. I didn't think she was ready yet, but I was watching her, and she continually kept jumping at the dead desiccated cricket in her enclosure lol. She did it 3 times. So I added the smallest cricket I had, and she tackled it right away. These guys are such amazing hunters.
also: I know jars aren't optimal, I'm working on getting some real enclosures as now I have 3 phids.
