I got this girl a few weeks ago and let her settle in before I started snapping pics. She is as sweet as she can be and very easy to handle. When she wants to move though, whooooosh!

Every once in a while, when she is off in la la land, I happen to touch a foot or claw from the outside of her KK. She will dash away and give the royal salute. Tonight I when I was getting ready to toss her a cricket I touched a foot to get her to move away from the top of her container.

I hadn't realized she was slumbering so deep. Well, she flew off the wall, flipped over in mid-air and landed on the peat on her back. She had assumed THE most perfect threat while in the air and upon landing was in perfect position! It was hilarious!! I LMAO. Tried to get a pic of that but she moved into a more dignified position as you can see.

How big is she? I love the Eucratoscelus species! I just love their "retro" gear! haha! Plus, they have pretty amazing dispositions, so getting a threat pose from yours is somewhat odd. At least she's handleable. Really, though, I have never had one, but they are on my "must have" list. :) I've known people that have had them, and seen some in person, and all I can say is that they can be a little skittish, but not real prone to giving threat displays or biting. And, they're on the small side...pretty much the ultimate tarantula! Haha! Congratulations on the little girl! She is very cute. Makes me want one so much more!

She's only about 1.5" right now. I love her sleek look and the funky rear legs. I have wanted one for as long as I got into the hobby and am just delighted with her.

I honor of the funk part of her I named her Leon after Leon Redbone, for those of you who remember the funky guitarist/singer. Then I learned my little one was a girl so she is now, "Leona!"
