Take one 20 gallon aquarium and a piece of plexiglass.....
IMHO I would say that it was adequite for a smaller (younger) but not adult spider. I used a 20 as they have long footprint. I found a screened cover (petco, boo hiss, stridulate!) that hinges in the center. I am partial to glass enclosures as they usually have better visibility.Mattyb said:I have a few 10gal. that i want to do that with. you think 2 Ts that get about 6" will have enough room?

11/03/00- Folks, a bad thing happened today and I feel very sad about it. Perhaps others can learn from my mistake. I had "Psycho, our newly aquired 4" sunburst baboon," in a 10 gallon aquarium separated (by a sheet of plexiglass) from "Pollux" (a 6" Salmon Pink Bird Eater, Lasiodora parahybana). There was a small space between the top of the plexiglass divider and the screen. I placed a large rock on top of the screen to prevent the possibility of "Psycho" crossing over into "Pollux's" space. Well, last night I opened the cage to feed "Psycho" some crickets. Who knows why, but I forgot to replace the rock on top of the cage. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!!
I have a few cracked 10 Gal tanks that I salvaged from my days as an indentured servant @ Pestco.BlkCat said:My b/f took a 10 gallon and put a board in the middle to separate it for the A. seemani and the B. smithi. I noticed the next day the glass was cracked all the way up the side. :8o :wall:Oh well. It hasnt busted, so far....
But wouldn't splitting a 10 gal give you approximately the same space as 2 x 5 Gal tanks? :? Don't a lot of people keep their T's in enclosures that are about this size? I'm just wondering, cuz it seems like it would be about the same as a lg kritter keeper, or a 5 Gal tank, etc. that a lot of people use for, say, a G. rosea, or a B. smithi or some other similarly-sized tarantula.Bagheera said:IMHO I would say that it was adequite for a smaller (younger) but not adult spider.
