That’s crazy!
Seriously!?
It is crazy right? The crazy thing is eating plastic doesn't effect their nutritional value. I guess we should start housing them in steel tubs? ;)

The article cites two actual papers which I didn't read at 3am while I was watching hurricane Laura roll in on the Weather Channel, but I want to look at those today. Also call my stockbroker because it's time to invest in superworms to solve the earth's plastic trash problem. This is huge in so many ways.

Lol.
Can you imagine a future where they are a dietary staple for all people and we sweep the oceans and comb beaches to feed 'em?
Sorry kids.

I can vouch to an extent, I've got a small container of Tenebrio filled with pieces of styrofoam they've been eating through. They don't get it all (eventually pieces are too tiny for them to get a good grip on), but they get enough for me to be happy with it.

What an idea...! How crazy would that be if they became an actual solution to our plastic problem??

Plastics are made of oil which presumably has nutritional value for them. Oil is primarily dead zooplankton and algae subjected to intense heat and pressure.

I'm telling ya there is money to be made here. Let's form a consortium and become millionaires then we can buy all the T's we want.
