Hi all,

These are my first attempts with my new camera. I know I can get closer but I had only been playing with the camera for an hour or so. I've got alot to learn but these will do for now. All the pics were taken in the middle of the night with a desk lamp as lighting, so hopefully I can get some better shots with natural sunlight.

Heres my 2.5" G.pulchra that is molting as I am typing this.

Nice pics, especially considering you've just got your camera. What kind did you get?

It's a Pentax Optio 550. It seemed to do everything that the cameras $300 more than it did and has gotten rave reviews everywhere I have looked. I still have 15 days to bring it back.

I think you did well with those pics, they came out really nice for it being your first time using the camera. I especially like the pics of the G. pulchra.

I have a macro mode on my digi cam but I'm not steady enough and the pics come out way to blurry to do anything with. I need to get a tri-pod or something before I can get pics like that.
