Hi strangers! Long time no type. I haven't been on the boards for awhile due to my crazy life, but today changed all that. I absolutely have to post a picture of the new baby I picked up at the San Diego IRBA show today. Ain't she cool? I'll be hanging out at the IRBA show on Sunday to pick up some feeders. If any Arachnopets people want to meet up for a brew after the show then feel free to drop me an email. Hasta!

Those are probably my favorite snakes out there.

Unfortunently, money, space, and care requirements prevent me from owning them >_<

They lose the pattern later on, right? Or do some keep it? (Aside from the small yellow stripes..)

Very Nice GQ,
I see green is already coming in. Who did you get the little guy from and what's its lineage if any?

Valael,
Some adults keep the patterning as a faint blue stiping (very faint). It is prominent in others. You can see remnants of my males patterning in the my female chondro thread. Other adults will lose it altogether. That's one of the great things about owning babies. You never know what they will develop into. The color changes can be very dramatic.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I couldn't stop smiling all last night and today. I can't keep my eyes off it. I very highly recommend the book The Complete Chondro by Greg Maxwell. As Lasiodora mentioned earlier it is an excellent book. A definite must have for any herp library.

Lasiodora,

The snake came from high white Aru type parents. The sire is green with a high percentage of white. The female is blue with a high percentage of white. She is blue all the time and not just when gravid or incubating eggs. I bought the snake from Chris Rouille. He has some amazing babies and he is a good guy too. I'll definitely be buying more snakes from him. Keep me posted on the progress of your snakes, Lasiodora. I saw your post and they are incredible. I can hardly wait to pick up my next one.

Hasta,
Gilbert

Gilbert,
I love aru-types. Sounds like its going to be a beautiful adult. I will keep you updated on my pair's progress as long as you do the same. I plan on re-weighing my OS female this week. I hope for her to hit her breeding weight of 1200g by next year. I can't wait to breed them.

Mike,

It's a deal. I'll post regular pics and pics of any new chondros I pic up. I already have one baby on reserve from another breeder. I'm just waiting for it to start feeding. Hopefully I'll have a group of three or four or twelve chondros by this time next year. I'm looking forward to seeing how your babies turn out.

Later,
Gilbert

This is a follow up picture of my little baby. It appears she is starting to develop some white vertebral scales like her parents. I'm hoping that isn't just wishful thinking.
