Just a short notice to inform you that a new book about theraphosidae is available, in french and english.

It was written by a french specialist, M. François Teyssié, and seems to be very interesting. I'll publish a review in the books section as soon as possible (I've not received it already).

Enjoy:

TARANTULAS OF THE WORLD - THERAPHOSIDAE by François Teyssié, NAP Editions, 500 pages (!)

Here is the summary (taken from the publisher's web site):

"This book on tarantulas describes and illustrates almost 300 species of tarantulas of the Theraphosidae family by biogeographical zone. The descriptions enable non-specialists to identify each species, and provides additional information on lifestyle, habitat and distribution. Theraphosidae systematics are presented in the form of an identification key for subfamilies and a description of particularly note-worthy genera. An exhaustive list of currently known species is also presented by subfamily and by country. This book also covers Theraphosidae biology : anatomy, primary biological functions, ecology, venomology and pharmacological research. This book also contains advice on breeding and rearing Theraphosidae."

yeah, I pretty much would like to have this. Probably pretty pricey. I'll watch for it on Amazon, and look forward to your review.

Hopefully it'll show up at more retailers soon. Googling the ISBN (9782913688247) shows that it's starting to be listed on other sites, though none outside of Europe yet.

I can't find it on Amazon. Can you provide a link?
Have you got the amazon application on a mobile or tablet? I have searched using a browser to provide a link but it doesn't come up in the results. On my Amazon app it was the top result

I sent a request to the customer team on the publisher's site to inquire if it will be made available via Amazon in the US, or other outlet. I noted that it is in demand, but shipping to US is arduous at best.
I will post the response.

Customer team responded already indicating it can be ordered via Amazon or direct from them. I replied asking if there is a bulk shipping or book rate shipping option, and clarified about the uk vs us Amazon.
