Hi, So I recently setup my first Dart frog tank... Im having a issue with my filter being covered with coco-fibre i was *Hoping* That the water would soak threw so the filter would cycle for the water fall... Not happening. Anyone have some advice? someone said false bottom, but does anyone have any insight? Thanks :)

They use coco fiber to plug leaks in boats down south. Expands when wet and resists rot for several centuries*. I doubt you will ever get much water to run through the stuff.
* Coconuts have washed ashore after spending decades at sea. The fiber never gets fully waterlogged or disintegrates.

Just coco-fiber alone is not an acceptable long-term vivarium substrate. You need something with good drainage capability, like ABG mix. You're trying to run a water fall without a false bottom or drainage layer?? Waterfalls/water features are probably the most common element that dart frog newbies want, yet screw their vivarium up with.

Huh? So what conditions were you keeping them in before??? What species? How long have you been keeping them? (The truth, not the various multiple BS things you say about your tarantula experience).

I have 5 standard leucs currently as part of my collection. I have my 3 adults in a temp viv at the moment while I'm building their 67 gallon vert viv...but even that temp viv is planted and kept with microfauna, leaf litter, and a drainage layer.

There's not much to look at yet; just the terrarium (24" wide, 18 inches deep, 36" tall Exo Terra), a background from Universal Rocks, and some miscellaneous supplies I've been collecting. I have some Marcgravia rectiflora in a grow-out container in waiting as well. I haven't continued with it yet because I'm moving into my new house in a week, and didn't want to have to move it while all set up. I'll resume with it after I'm moved, so I hopefully won't have to move that thing around ever again once its in its permanent location.
