Went to Hamburg this weekend (a blast as always) and picked up some new T's and scorps. I have been wanting any of the Ceratogyrus genus for a while, and was delighted to find Tarantulas Inc carrying Ceratogyrus bechuanicus. Picked up a very healthy little ~ 1" sling, as well as an older Heteroscodra maculata from a different vendor. S/he was an absolute STEAL and came with a display box so even if it turns out to be a male I won't feel too bad about my purchase. I also picked up a U. mordax scorpling from TarantulasInc. and was generously given a H. paucidens scorpling by stevetastic
worship: thanks!).
The other T's are all doing well; I'm up to a nice even 20 now, and they all seem to be thriving. Several slings molted recently, including both P. chordatus and one P. cambridgei. The new T. gigas slings settled in well. The adult stoutleg was just moved to a new habitat with deeper substrate (should have had my camera to document more of her epic crankiness).
Enough boring, pics!
First the Hamburg loot...
C. bechuanicus
H. maculata (not a very good pic... it was much inclined to hide once it got in the tank)
U. mordax
H. paucidens
And now some second rate photos of a few other slings:
T. gigas
P. chordatus
P. cambridgei
