last night patty and i went down to the new pet store in town and they had some spiders one was an avic avic. oh my, it was in bad shape the cage was a small pet pal and had like dry mulch on the bottom for substrate, a dry sponge for water and nothing to climb on and a dead crix in the corner. upon closer a closer look it was missing the left pedipalp and leg 3 on the right side. so i made them a deal and a deal it was if it dosent die on me. last night when we got it home i gave i some water and it drank pretty good and is now moving around better. this morning i was trying to get it to eat wanted nothing to do with a small crix so i cut it open and still wanted nothing to do with it. anyone have experience nursing Ts back to health suggestions would be much welcome

thanks
Kyle

Good luck,
I had the same thing once. Same story.
The only way I could get it to eat was, put it in a small deli cup ( ICU ) with the cricket and set it in a dark place.
Mine would only eat half the cric. and leave the rest.

Is it a new Petco?

Hope it works out for you and the T.

same thing happened to me with two A versicolor. I got them for $10 apiece, and wasn't at all sure they wouldn't die. However, once they rehydrated, they started eating, and recovered quickly.
I wrote a scathing letter to Petco, and believe it or not, the district manager, and the store manager called me at home.
They've improved some what, but can't seem to take the sponges out...
Apparently, there is a general caresheet that they HAVE to go by,and can't make any changes without approval from their higher ups. I directed them to the ATS, and the experts there.
Hope yours pulls through, I hate having to rescue, since I know they just go buy another one, and do the same thing to it
