After losing two of my very prized girls in the last couple weeks, I was about to call it quits and sell off most of my collection. But when I received my package from <reptist> today (placed before the second death that really brought me down), the critters inside reminded me of how much I love keeping these guys.

So thank you to Brandon, and here are the new arrivals:

Penelope (T. blondi female)

Rosaline (Aphonopelma sp. New River female)

B. albiceps

I really like the 'new river' species. I have two females and they're both due for molts since they're drab looking right now.

Agreed. I bought a pair of new rivers off of Reptist and i am very pleased with them. Waiting for the male to mature...

Anyways, yours is lovely :). I really like the T. blondi!
Cheers

Rosaline is very pretty. I just might have to get me one of those. Yep, just might. ;)

Yeah, now I'm considering a New River. How fast do they grow? Does it make more sense to pick them up with a little growth already on them and shell out the extra cash?

i'm not sure about the growth rate of that particular species. some aphonopelma are notoriously slow-growing. others seem to grow a little faster, but they definitely aren't a fast-growing species.
