Can you get a top shot of that Hap? That doesn't look much like a lividum.

H. lividum isn't always "Cobalt Blue," as everyone seems to think. I believe the Tarantula Keeper's Guide notes that the blue is VERY difficult to photograph, even under the "right light."

It looks like a Haplopelma sp. to me...

Don't forget that H. lividum like to burrow a lot. I may be looking at the picture wrong, but it looks like there isn't a LOT of substrate. I've seen people keep them in tall cereal-style enclosures, with substrate up to almost the top, so they have plenty of room.

that's definitely not a lividum...
it would be chilobrachys, selenocosmia or even coremiocnemis sp IMO... :rolleyes:

yea its not always blue as everyone expects...but the color on that T is dull brown to black..i guess if it is a female cobalt, which it looks like a female to me, will have at least a chinch of blue..well i dare say it isn a lividum..

just my 2 cents.. :)

i have corrected the original post. the second spider was mislabeled. it is actually a Chilobrachy spp.
