I work in a systematics lab. Occasionally we're asked by other departments to help with phylogenetic analyses. Recently a student from the geology department asked for some help. I didn't feel I did enough to warrant authorship on his paper, but I did ask for a mention in the acknowledgments section and a Mosasaur tooth. We ran the analysis for him and he sent me this tooth:
