Thanks for the compliments Everyone I got the Death Stalker from Bryan at MIArachnids and the A Australis from Drummindan here on the boards. Now I need an A Bicolor that's my next Scorp.

No thank you. IMO, I cannot understand why you would keep something in your house that, if it got out, could kill you. Mind you, I am not looking down nor insulting you just saying I cannot understand it. I'm sure there are plenty of people that question why I insist on keep mean, aggressive, burrowing T.s and scorps myself.

Giantsfan24 Keeping hot species is not for everyone. All of my Scorps are double caged and I don't have any children running around my home and my wife doesn't even go near my collection so It is all about how intelligent you are in keeping such species and knowing the precautions you need to take and also the consequense that will happen if you do make a mistake with them. I have kept t's and Other Scorps for 3 or 4 years before I even contemplated keeping the hot species.

You sir, are one of the smart ones(double cages is a great idea). I just hate the fact that they are so cheap and easily obtained. I mean, we are not talking black widow where we have lots of antivenom on stock. These soecies are from half way around the world. You get stung, you die...period. At least with hot snakes, you have to prove your age and shippiers only send it delta dash(which is very expensive).

Is there something about these two species that fascinates you? Are they particularly active? Do they burrow? Eat a cool way?

I know some site that sell scorpions have both warnings and require you to be 18.Although if you got stung by one you would have some problems a snake is way more dangerous in imo because they are expert escapist while scorpions cant climb the glass at all and have no chance of escaping a glass wall twice their length unless you unintelligently put a stick all the way to the top of the tank :wall: .

That's not really true is it? I was definately under the impression that even the hottest of scorp species didn't normally kill a healthy adult human (who isn't allergic), though it isn't out of the realm of possibility, and that the vast majority of deaths come from young children, elderly, and people who are naturally more sensitive to the venom. Not saying you shouldn't be careful, but I don't think getting stung is an open and closed death sentance.
