I recently lost my mature male E. campestratus to natural causes (his expiration date ran out, sadly), so I decided to pick up a pacman frog. I had kept one for several years until it finally passed and had sort of missed having one ever since.
So, I spotted them being sold at a pretty reasonable price and pulled the trigger on a new one. He's a little guy, but they grow pretty fast. They are also sort of amphibian pet rocks, but their appearance and feeding response is interesting. My original was an albino, but not by choice, a relative decided they didn't want it shortly after purchasing it and passed it on to me. I'm not a giant fan of albino morphs, I'm not sure why. that is not to say I did not like my original, of course. I just probably would not have chosen it for myself.
So I was pleased to just get a more standard specimen. It isn't as flashy as an albino, but I think looks more "natural".

Me either, something about the whites and the yellows I think (at least when it comes to herps). I don't think it's necessarily an issue of looking natural for me, because I really like leucistic morphs with no markings and black eyes, as well as hypermelanistic morphs.

That is a beautiful frog! And so tiny. I'm sure he'll grow quickly.

I am not a great lover of albinos either. As a windup I used to ask my dealer friend to find me an Albino Black Rat snake. Just to make the point _ _ what is the point?
