I have a new Eucratoscelus pachypus, Dawrf Stout leg, and care sheets are not available... can someone answer some questions for me?
1) are they supposed to be slow? when touched, react very little, if at all?
2) are they a species known to not resent being handled unlike all other african genuises?

Hi

They are the best Old World species to start with if thats what you mean bu they are no way docile they are pretty calm sometimes but if you really mess with them, they're not afraid to show some fangs. They burrowers so provide some deep substrate. any ways I find this species pretty cool. sometimes mine is really slow and I want to handle it but I really dont belive in handling . so any ways have a nice day

I have an adult female with quite a temperment. She reacts similar to my P. murinus and is quick. She does not enjoy/react well to prodding and goes into threat display with occasional strikes.
Perhaps yours is in pre-molt?
