I got some new slings this week, and i was looking for some input on some nice unisex names for now. I got a L. parahybana, B. smithi, B. albopilosum, and G. aureostiata (wanted a P. murinus but i have cats to consider, and that is one fast mean T) The B. albopilosum already has a name though, its *flourish* "Lord/Lady Fuzzybottom". What do you guys think?

also what are some of the best/worst/funniest T names you have ever heard.
my funniest is "napkin" the P. regalis

Well I tend to theme names for my guys. For instance I have 5 A. seemani slings that were delivered to my husband's office and had to "work late" with him. Since he works with computers they got named, Rom, Bit, Alta, Jeeves, and Lycos.
I named all of my P. reduncas names from the old English tv series The Avengers, so I had Mrs. Peel, Steed, Tara, and Cathy.
My two female OBTs are named Lady Marmalade and Snuggle Bunny. Just to be strange.
My P. pederseni slings are named Fudge, Turtle and Tootsie (from the book series, Tales of a Forth Grade Nothing)
My A. sp. Peru purple slings are Sinclair, Garabaldi, and Sherian from Babylon 5.
Find names from books or tv shows or movies that you like.

My A hentzi is named Lola, because I was very into the song Copacabana when I got her. My G rosea is named Contessa, after Countess Elizabeth Bathory, because I thought it was funny. Don't really remember why, though.

My three L parahybana slings were named Inky, Blinky, and Pinky, and my A versicolor is named Clyde (The names of the ghosts from the pacman game. I got them all together, but Inky died, so its not as cute anymore).

My B smithi slings don't have names. They were my first Ts, and I just haven't found names suitable for them yet...

All of our T's have names straight off of the old folks' home roster.
It's hard to be scared of a T. named Gladys or Eunice. :D

We have a G.rosea sling that we kept; just because of when it was hatched...on Halloween night. It's name is Sabbath..lol
We have an ill tempered T.blondi named "Sweetie" as well...just to be perverse.

I even know someone with a very large and nasty-mean C.crawshayi girlie..her name is Buttercup. {D

I usually try to keep my T names regional, or at least have something to do with their scientific or common name. I named my first T, a G. rosea, Tari, which would have been short for "tarantula" since I thought that she would be the tarantula, not one of 20+. I actually have/had the ones you listed. Here are the names I have for them.

L. parahybana - Gracie. I have four, but only named one after the Gracie family of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu fighters. I gave this particular L. para a cricket slightly bigger than it and it jumped onto the cricket's back and pulled it back toward itself and took it down and it reminded me of a BJJ rear choke.

B. smithi - Panchita. Doesn't get much more Mexican than that.

B. vagans - Spanky.

B. albopilosum - D.T., short for Daniel Tarantula. I named him after my stepson, Daniel, who is Honduran and has curly hair.

G. aureostriata - Goldar. I just wanted something with "Gold" in it, so I named him after Goldar, one of the bad guys from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

As for the name you gave your B. Lord/Lady Fuzzybottom works. {D

Other names I've given my Ts:

L. difficilis - Flaminha. Portuguese for "little flame"

G. rosea RCF - Ginger. She's red, 'nuff said.

OBT - Tonda. There's a movie from the '80s called "Caveman." The boss bad guy's name is Tonda. There's a scene where he chases Atouk, another caveman, out of the cave and as Atouk runs down the hill, Tonda picks up a huge rock, lifts it over his head, and he falls back and off the top of the hill. When Tonda, my OBT, gives me a threat display, it usually falls onto its back like Tonda the caveman.

B. albopilosum - Jessica, as in Jessica Albopilosum.

Another L. parahybana - the first one of my slings that turns out to be male, I will name him Tommy Lasiodora, after Tommy Lasorda.

Named my Parahybana Tiny actually even tho its female and i should probably name it Tinkerbell, but i figured tiny would be appropriate, and i named my vagans Isabella becuz its a pretty name for a mexican girl. oh and for B. Albopilosum why not go three stooges and just name it Curly?

now you made me decide to get an H. minax just so i can have a Ghaal, lol. But sky dog isnt bad, maybe mavrick. the L. parahybana is now going by "Lamp" because every time i turn a light on in the room she goes nuts. still lookin for the B. smithi name though, and i have a few good ideas for the G. aureo
