This will likely be ongoing cause i have real trouble keying out insects....

i am looking to put togehter a checklist ofspecies found at our farm, so am hoping some of you folks could lend a hand.

I realize its not so easy, but i am hoping to at least get down to Genus level, that would be great!

All these are taken in southern Taiwan (Pingdong) where it is hot and tropical.

caterpillars. tehre are many, but here are 2 to start with

#1

#2

cheers. i figures crane as well, but no idea as to which.

We have pedes for sure, but no pics yet. there are some larger scopes as well  but i will likely post new threads in the appropriate forums for arachnids and centipedes :)

as for the hairs, i am not sure. i try not to touch the animals i find unless i need to in order to relocate them. i have made the mistake far too many times of touching something and ending up in some kind of discomfort! {D

with butterfly/caterpillar ID is it best to have adult or caterpillar shots forID, i assume adult, but i prefer not to raise caterpillars lol.

a couple more if anyone recognizes them

another caterpillar

excuse teh quality of these it was late at night.
