Need Identification help please

Found these cool bugs when I peeled off bark of a piece of firewood.

When you touch the body, they bring their tails up and poke as if trying to sting you or something. These guys are about 1 inch long. There was about 20-30 of them under the bark. There was 1 much larger, im gonna post pics of him soon.

Doesnt need to be an exact ID, anything close would be appreciated.

Looks like it could possibly be larva of the family Cucujidae.

Cucujid was close, but I believe those are larval pyrochroidae; esp. noting that they were found in an aggregation.

I'd go with Pyrochroidae too - the shape of the larve is pretty distictive.
